Caoimhín Ó Dochartaigh was one of Derry’s best-loved musicians and a dedicated supporter of young musicians. This event focuses on promoting emerging and local talent within the folk and traditional music genres. The finalists of our best new trad talent competition will be competing for a place on the bill at this event’s Festival Club concert.

2018 Siansa Gael Linn Champions ‘Spleodar’, members hail from counties Antrim, Monaghan and Tyrone. ‘Spleodar’ were formed under the direction of Maggie Maguire from Derrygonnelly, County Fermanagh. This group are made up of muilti- instrumentals and singers with plenty of high energy! From their victory they have featured on Fleadh TV, Ceili House, BBC Ulster on ‘The Lynette Fay Show’ and have performed at various Festivals and Concerts.
